I've read your online profiles and studied the message you intend to communicate. I have a question: Have you had any success in dating before the online world?

I ask because you seem to be concerned about the components of your online presence that don't matter. For example, your weight. It does not matter that you are maybe 30 or pounds heavy. I am too. It only becomes an issue when you make it one. Don't over think things.

Your lack of response is probably due to the fact that most women don't relate to what you say. I mean, I don't know what kind of women you are into, but I don't know many women that would be drawn to the whole super hero theme. Also, I would consider putting more pics of yourself. 33% of your photos are of your dog that you already obsess about in the other parts of your profile. Show more personality- what do you do for fun? for work? I mean seriously, do you do charity handy man work for your neighbors on a regular basis? Is it really THAT rewarding? It sounds like BS to the reader...at least to this reader.

Dating is never easy, more so, when you're looking for a lifetime partner. There's no guaranteed formula for a profile to make you a Brad Pitt material. All you have to do is just to get on with it, get to know as many singles as you can.

I had some success in college. Honestly, as a general rule I underplay the fact I read comics (superhero and otherwise) and like scifi. Other than that I read mysteries and thrillers, watch some TV, that's about it.I volunteer at a dog rescue. I have a boring day job I hate, but pays the bills. I did take photos for this website (I'd go to nightclubs and take pics of drunk people) but the only thing I got out of was free booze. I'm a bleeding-heart, commie pinko, atheist librul, and I still laugh at fart jokes.

Internet dating isn't working for me anymore so much either. I'll just say this as I strongly believe in it, which may or may not help you...

Internet dating is a bit of a piss take. People who may not respond to you here, may respond to you in real life! Internet dating is not the same or as good as meeting people in real life. People shouldn't give up on real life or substitute online dating for real life.

I think if you don't like internet dating - which makes so many of us feel more inadequate or more ugly or useless than we really are - maybe you, I and so many more of us should replace the effort we put into online dating and put it back into meeting people in real life.

That's where the success is, and that's the success that counts.
