You know, I have heard great things about that series. We're gonna have to Netflix that.

That's one I want to see and also Mad Men. I think I'm the only person who's not watched it yet.

I am curently watching Lost in Austen. It's a BBC miniseries (three hours total) about a modern woman, Amanda Price, that ends up in the Pride and Prejudice story, her favorite book. I'm not far in, but I keep finding myself with a huge smile on my face while watching her interact with the characters she loves so much.
ETA: Price tells Bingly she's a lesbian to get him to leave her alone. So, THAT's where that brush off came from! I've used it.Last edited by Robyn : 08-16-2010 at 02:58 PM. |

I haven't seen Mad Men, other than a few clips on YouTube.
My aunt & cousin sold the set designers a couple chairs on the show. |

Mad Men is probably my favorite show of all time.
One of the few shows I like that hasn't (knock on wood) gotten sucky as the seasons progress. |

I agree Gloria. The characters are all so flawed, I love them!

Anyone else trying (I don't use the word lightly) to watch Rubicon ?
The cinematography is gorgeous. I like the premise. I love the cast. I WANT to like the show. But so far it's like watching fucking paint dry. |

I watched the pilot. And a bit of the second. And five seconds tonight.
Too moody and slow for me. But I know what you mean. It had promise. It's lost me. |

OK, so I'm weird. I like it. But then again, I listen to TV more than watch it.
I have to rent season 3 of Mad Men, I'm not sure they were playing it in my neck of the woods. My cable company just added AMC last month, so I had to wait for reruns on Bravo, and they're still running seasons 1 and 2, somehow I missed season 3 entirely. |

I laughed several times at Hot Tub Time Machine. Pretty funny for a crude R-rated comedy, and it has some neat time-travel plot twists.
